What is the next hurricane name?
The next names on the 2026 lists are Kyle in the Atlantic and Winnie in the eastern Pacific. A storm gets a name when it reaches tropical storm strength, 39 mph sustained winds.
When does hurricane season end?
The Atlantic season runs from June 1 to November 30, and the eastern Pacific from May 15 to November 30. Storms can form outside those dates, so keep your kit ready year-round if you live near the coast.
How do I prepare for a hurricane?
