Black Friday generator deals 2026: which prices are really lower
Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, with Cyber Monday on November 30. This page lists every generator we compare, smallest to largest by running watts. Where the maker sells it on its own US store, we check that price twice a day and judge it against the prices we've recorded there, so when the sales start you can see whether a price is a real drop or just a headline. Black Friday 2026 at a glance
Maker sale dates. We'll add each maker's own Black Friday dates here once it publishes them on its US store.
How we judge a price. A maker's store price counts as a deal only when it's below every price we've recorded that store charging in the last 60 days, or at least 10% under its usual price, with at least 14 days on record. We started recording on October 24, 2026.

How we judge a deal
A brand-store price counts as a deal here only if it is lower than every price we've recorded for that model at that store in the last 60 days, or at least 10% under its usual price there. “Usual” is the middle price of the days on record, so one short sale or one spike doesn't move it. We call a price “about usual” from 10% under to 5% over, and “above usual” beyond that.
We need 14 days on record before we judge, and until then a model says “not enough history yet”. That is deliberate: a new listing with a big crossed-out price can't look like a deal here. Today 0 of the 2 brand-store prices above have enough history to judge.
The crossed-out “was” price and the RRP don't come into it. A store's reference price isn't what the model has actually been selling for; the prices we recorded are.
Why Amazon isn't judged. Amazon's license lets us show its current price with the date and time we fetched it, but not keep its prices beyond a day or analyze them over time without its written approval. So we keep no Amazon record to judge a sale against. Where we show an Amazon price, it carries its date and time and never a verdict.
The honest limit. A price that passes is lower than we've seen, not necessarily the lowest it will go. And it is only a good buy if it's the size you need.

Before you buy
Decide the size first.
Our generator wattage calculator adds up the running and starting watts of what you'd run, so you know the size before the prices start moving.
Judge the price, not the badge.
A crossed-out list price says nothing about what the generator sold for last month; our verdicts compare against prices we've recorded at the maker's own store.
Compare like with like.
Dual fuel, tri-fuel, electric start, a CO shutoff sensor and a wheel kit all change the price, so check which version the sale is on.
Plan the hookup.
Run appliances on heavy-duty outdoor extension cords, or have a qualified electrician fit a transfer switch. Never plug a generator into a wall outlet.
We verify every product's specifications against at least two independent sources, re-check its US price and stock on a schedule where we can track it automatically, and cross-check safety-relevant claims against official guidance. Every review is labeled Researched or Used and reviewed by us: where we've bought a product, or been sent it free, and used it ourselves, its review says which; where we haven't, our verdict is a considered spec-and-evidence comparison, not a hands-on test — and commissions never change a ranking either way. Common questions
When is Black Friday 2026?
Friday, November 27, 2026, with Cyber Monday on Monday, November 30. We'll add each maker's own sale dates here once it publishes them on its US store.
How can I tell if a Black Friday generator deal is real?
Compare the sale price with what the generator has actually been selling for, not with a list price. This page checks each maker's store price against the prices we've recorded that store charging for the same model, and calls it a deal only when it's below every price we recorded in the last 60 days or at least 10% under its usual price, with at least 14 days on record.
Why do most generators here have no verdict?
We judge only prices we can record, which means the makers' own US stores. Most of the generators we list are linked on Amazon, and Amazon's rules for sites like ours don't allow us to record or analyze its prices, so those get a plain link to Amazon's own page, where the current price is shown.
What size generator do I need?
Add up the running watts of everything you'd run at the same time, then allow for the largest starting load, such as a fridge or well pump. Our generator wattage calculator does the sums, and our home backup generators page covers the big 7,500-watt-and-up models.
Can I plug a generator into my house?
Not into a wall outlet: that's called backfeeding, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission says it presents an electrocution risk to utility workers and neighbors served by the same transformer. To power house circuits, have a qualified electrician install a transfer switch. Otherwise, plug appliances into the generator with heavy-duty outdoor extension cords.
