Our review
EcoFlow's DELTA Pro 3 is a wheeled LFP power station that EcoFlow lists at 4 kWh and 4,000 watts, with both 120V and 240V output and add-on batteries that raise the capacity. This review covers the figures EcoFlow's page states, the home connection options, charging, and the limits to plan around.
What it is and who it suits
EcoFlow's US page lists the DELTA Pro 3 as a portable power station carrying UL9540 certification, with 4 kWh of capacity and 4,000 watts of output. It delivers both 120V and 240V in a single unit, which EcoFlow says can power a 3-ton central air conditioner with a soft starter under laboratory conditions. Its X-Boost feature lets the unit exceed its rated output, up to 6,000 watts when needed.
It suits a household that wants silent, fume-free backup for a refrigerator, lights and more, with 240V available for larger loads. It is a big unit: EcoFlow's specifications give the net weight as 51.5 kilograms (113.54 pounds), and the unit has wheels and a handle.
Capacity and expansion
EcoFlow's page headlines 4 to 48 kWh, and its specifications show what each figure takes. One unit is rated at 4096Wh, and a single unit expands to 12 kWh with two DELTA Pro 3 extra batteries. The 36 kWh system figure pairs three units with the Smart Home Panel 2 and six extra batteries. The 48 kWh figure requires three DELTA Pro 3 units, three extra batteries, three EcoFlow Smart Generator 4000 (Dual Fuel) units and a Smart Home Panel 2, all sold separately.
EcoFlow says the battery is automotive-grade LFP that retains 80% capacity after 4,000 cycles. Its overview says it can charge to 80% in 50 minutes, and lists up to 7,000 watts of charging from combined sources. The page's FAQ says the unit has two solar input ports, up to 1,600 watts on the high-voltage port and 1,000 watts on the low-voltage port, with a 2,600-watt maximum under optimal conditions.
Connecting it to a home
EcoFlow lists three ways to connect it to a house: the Smart Home Panel 2, which it says takes up to 3 DELTA Pro 3 units, switches over in 20 milliseconds and controls up to 12 circuits; an Inlet Box with the built-in L14-30R socket; and a Manual Transfer Switch. EcoFlow's notes say the Smart Home Panel 2 requires installation before use, with the fee depending on an assessment, so plan for an electrician.
As with a generator, never feed a house by plugging into a wall outlet. See our generator safety guide on backfeeding and our transfer switch comparison.
Noise, safety and warranty
EcoFlow says the unit can run as quietly as 30 dB with its X-Quiet technology. It lists a 40-point battery management system and a UL-certified 5VA fireproof shell, which are the maker's safety claims. The 5-year warranty is made up of 3 years standard and 2 years extended, available on registering in the EcoFlow app.
A battery unit has no exhaust, but the household's carbon monoxide rules still apply to any engine you might also run. CDC says to use a battery-powered or battery backup CO detector, and our carbon monoxide alarm comparison lists detectors.
How it compares
On our power station comparison and home backup battery page this is the large end. EcoFlow's smaller DELTA 3 Max is listed in the same page's menu as a 2048Wh unit.
Who should skip it
Skip it if you only need a refrigerator and lights, since a smaller station may cover that with less weight to move. Skip it if you cannot move a unit of 113.54 pounds, or if you need many days of heavy use, where an engine generator refuels more easily. Add the cost of the home connection hardware to your budget.

Who shouldn't buy this
Don't buy it if you only need a fridge and lights: a 1 to 2 kWh station is far cheaper.
This is a Researched review: we haven't used this product. We check every specification against at least two independent sources, re-check the US price on a schedule where we can track it automatically, and say plainly who it isn't for. Commissions never change a rating.
