Our review
The listing we track is titled as Honeywell model 1102, a 0.15 cubic foot key-lock chest made under license by LH Licensed Products. This researched review gives the maker's exact fire and water wording, the two waterproof claims that disagree, the care rules in the manual, and how it fits among the other safes.
What it is and who it suits
The tracked listing's title names model 1102. The maker's honeywellsafes.com site calls it the Small Fire & Water Security Chest, 0.15 cu ft. It is a plastic chest with a carry handle and a key lock with two entry keys, and the maker pitches it at passports, small papers and digital storage drives. That suits a renter or a household that wants one small grab-and-go box for a passport, birth certificates and a backup drive.
This review is researched, not tested. It relies on the maker's product page and user guide, plus our comparison data.
Who makes it, and the wording on fire protection
The user guide says the chest is manufactured by LH Licensed Products, Inc. of Carson, California, and that the Honeywell trademark is used under license, with Honeywell International making no representations about the product. Know that the maker is a licensee, not Honeywell itself.
The product page says UL certified 30-minute fireproof protection at temperatures up to 1550°F. The user guide is more precise: independent testing by Underwriters Laboratories verifies that the interior temperature stays below 350°F for 30 minutes when the outside temperature is up to 1550°F. The guide's own figure for models 1101, 1102, 1103 and 1106 is the one to rely on.
Water protection: 24 hours or 100 hours?
The maker's two documents disagree. The product page says certified 100-hour waterproof protection up to 1 meter, or 3.28 feet. The user guide says independent testing verifies the interior remains dry when completely submerged for up to 24 hours, for every model except the 1101. Our comparison page uses the 24-hour figure, and so do we, as the conservative number.
The guide does not name who did the water test, unlike the fire test, which it attributes to UL.
Care rules that decide whether it works
The guide is strict. Before first use, open the chest and air it out for at least 30 minutes so the waterproof seal can decompress. For the chest to perform as specified, it must always be stored flat with the lid on top, never on a side or upside down. It should be opened and aired out for at least 30 minutes every week to prevent moisture build-up, and the maker says it is not responsible for damage from moisture.
The guide also says never to store the manual inside the safe, and that the chest is not intended for medications, firearms, ammunition or combustible items.
Size, weight and what fits
The page lists exterior dimensions of 7.28 by 12.40 by 9.84 inches and interior dimensions of 4.57 by 9.65 by 6.02 inches, for 0.15 cubic feet, or 4.3 L. Weight is 18.9 lb. The inside is too small for a full letter sheet laid flat, which matches the folded-paper pitch. The page lists a 5-year limited warranty and a lifetime after-fire replacement guarantee. Our document protection picks show the alternatives.
How it compares and who should skip it
On our comparison page, the SentrySafe file box lists UL Classified protection for up to 30 minutes, ETL Verified water protection, hanging-file capacity and 38.8 lb. The SentrySafe fire chest lists UL Classified, a half hour at 1550°F, and 28 lb, with no water rating on our page. The Amazon Basics 0.39 cu ft chest lists Modified UL 72 Class 350 for 30 minutes at 1550°F. The ENGPOW document bag lists no UL classification.
Skip it if you keep hanging files or flat sheets, or if you will not air the chest weekly and store it flat. It is also no place for medications, which the maker excludes. For papers you cannot replace, make copies.

Who shouldn't buy this
Don't buy it if you want to store hanging files.
This is a Researched review: we haven't used this product. We check every specification against at least two independent sources, re-check the US price on a schedule where we can track it automatically, and say plainly who it isn't for. Commissions never change a rating.

Is the Honeywell 1102 really waterproof?
The maker's user guide says independent testing verifies the interior stays dry when fully submerged for up to 24 hours. The product page claims 100 hours. We use 24 hours, the lower figure.
What does the UL fire rating mean here?
The guide says UL testing verifies the interior stays below 350°F for 30 minutes when the outside temperature is up to 1550°F. It does not promise protection beyond that time or heat.
Can I store it on its side or in a closet stack?
The guide says it must always be stored flat with the lid on top, and never on a side or upside down, for the chest to perform as specified.
Can I keep medications or a firearm in it?
No. The guide warns that the chest is not intended for storing medications, firearms, ammunition or combustible items of any kind.
