Runtime: capacity × 90% usable × 85% inverter efficiency ÷ (the appliance's average draw + about 10W the station uses itself), a range from the low and high average draw. "Runs it?" checks the station's output against 30–128W running, the cautious figures from generator makers' and DTE Energy's charts. Many modern appliances start with less, so "Check" means read your appliance's label (amps × 120 = watts). Plan on the low end of every runtime.
Where the figures come from
Energy Star's certified TVs draw about 30 to 73 watts at 32 to 44 inches, 67 to 106 watts at about 50 to 55 inches and 93 to 128 watts at 65 inches when on (10th to 90th percentile). Older and bigger sets draw more: DTE Energy's guide lists 150 to 400 watts.

How long will a 1,000Wh power station run a TV?
About 5.5 to 19 hours, running nothing else, on the figures behind this page. Plan on the low end.
What size power station do I need for a TV?
For 12 hours, about 1,397Wh, or 2,165Wh for an older or larger one, with at least 128W of output.
Can a power station run a TV in an outage?
Yes, if its output covers about 128W. A power station is safe to run indoors, unlike a generator.
